Berkeley Day Camp | AGES 5-12
Berkeley Day Camp provides a fun and exciting experience for children ages 5-12 (must have completed Kindergarten). Staff provides a safe environment that helps a child develop social skills and appreciation for our local parks. Camp provides recreational activities including arts and crafts, exploration, field games, and cookouts. Participants also enjoy special events such as Summer Halloween and Science of Fun.
Staff and children are bused to and from camp each week. A typical week will comprise of two days in Tilden Park and two days at the Berkeley Marina. Tilden Park is located in the Berkeley Hills, a wonderful lush forest with well-marked trails, lakes, ponds and streams. Berkeley Marina includes pier, dock and shoreline habitats to explore, plus canoeing and the acclaimed Adventure Playground. Swim Day occurs every Friday and campers visit several beach locations, such as Lake Anza in Tilden Park or Crown Beach in Alameda.
Extended Care is optional for an additional fee and provides supervised games, arts and crafts, and a snack in a safe environment. Extended Care Hours are 7:30-9:00 AM & 3:30-6:00 PM, at Willard Park Clubhouse, 2720 Hillegass Ave.
